Petitions to see the Glory

Moses asked to see God’s Glory. It says,

 21 Then the LORD said, “Behold, there is a place by Me, and you shall stand there on the rock; 22 and it will come about, while My glory is passing by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed by. (Exodus 33:21-22)

And later hidden in the Song of Solomon, the bride makes a petition.

“O my dove, in the clefts of the rock,
In the secret place of the steep pathway,
Let me see your form,
Let me hear your voice;
For your voice is sweet,
And your form is lovely.” (Song of Solomon 2:14)

The dove was what the Holy Spirit descended as after the baptism of Jesus (Luke 3:22). Before Jesus died, He says,

 But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. (John 16:7)

So, I believe the answer to this petition in the Song of Solomon was found after the resurrection. Mary Magdelene is the first to see Jesus in His glorified body and she doesn’t recognize Him. It says,

13 And they said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping?” She said to them, “Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him.” 14 When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, and did not know that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” Supposing Him to be the gardener, she said to Him, “Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have laid Him, and I will take Him away.” 16 Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him in Hebrew, “Rabboni!” (which means, Teacher). (John 20:13-16)
