Isn’t it my own walk?
No,
32 and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets; (1 Corinthians 14:32)
And Jesus says,
“If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” (John 8:31b-32)
The truth is later clarified by Jesus in His prayer in which He says God’s word is truth (John 17:17).
He continues in His prayer and says,
20 “I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; 21 that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. (John 17:20-21)
So, we are to be united as the Father and Son are. Though they were “apart” they were always able to communicate. And concerning God’s word, the Scriptures,
20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, 21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. (2 Peter 1:20-21)
So just like God’s army, the locusts, who have no king but all march in formation; we also live in accordance with a pattern as we are sanctified by the Word, though our King has not yet physically returned to rule over us.
Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, (Ephesians 4:1)
