What is alcohol’s place in a believer’s life?

How do we reconcile,

⁴ It is not for kings, O Lemuel,
It is not for kings to drink wine,
Or for rulers to desire strong drink,
⁵ For they will drink and forget what is decreed,
And pervert the rights of all the afflicted.
⁶ Give strong drink to him who is perishing,
And wine to him whose life is bitter.
⁷ Let him drink and forget his poverty
And remember his trouble no more. (Proverbs 31:4-7)

With,

²³ No longer drink water exclusively, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent ailments. (1 Timothy 5:23)

1 Timothy was a letter written by Paul, a spiritual leader, to a young teacher. The proverb that contains this statement about alcohol starts out like this,

¹The words of King Lemuel, the oracle which his mother taught him: (Proverbs 31:1)

The father is the head of the house, and if you are imitating Christ as Paul did, then,
