Esau’s “kiss”

Genesis 33:4 says

Then Esau ran to meet him and embraced him, and fell on his neck and kissed him, and they wept.

I came across an interpretation that said that the part that says “and kissed him” has punctuation in the original text that implies that it wasn’t genuine and that it could have even possibly been, as one rabbi interpreted it, a bite.

I saw that this interpretation came from the Masoretic Text and when I dug into it:

it is an interpretation of the original Hebrew text that was made hundreds of years after Jesus’ death and resurrection by Jews who rejected that He was the Messiah.

That was the text where the punctuation came from so personally, I reject that interpretation.

Received, searched and found it came from a group that denied the Son, therefore they had no communication with the Father. The root of the Masoretes was unclean and the branches are too.
