Did Jesus write the Law?

So it shall be on the day when you cross the Jordan to the land which the LORD your God gives you, that you shall set up for yourself large stones and coat them with lime and write on them all the words of this law, when you cross over, so that you may enter the land which the LORD your God gives you, a land flowing with milk and honey, as the LORD, the God of your fathers, promised you. So it shall be when you cross the Jordan, you shall set up on Mount Ebal, these stones, as I am commanding you today, and you shall coat them with lime. Moreover, you shall build there an altar to the LORD your God, an altar of stones; you shall not wield an iron tool on them. You shall build the altar of the LORD your God of uncut stones, and you shall offer on it burnt offerings to the LORD your God;

(Deuteronomy 27:2-6)

This is commanded here and in Deuteronomy 17, and Joshua later performs this in Joshua 8:30-35. It says,

Then Joshua built an altar to the LORD, the God of Israel, in Mount Ebal, just as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded the sons of Israel, as it is written in the book of the law of Moses, an altar of uncut stones on which no man had wielded an iron tool; and they offered burnt offerings on it to the LORD, and sacrificed peace offerings. He wrote there on the stones a copy of the law of Moses, which he had written, in the presence of the sons of Israel.  All Israel with their elders and officers and their judges were standing on both sides of the ark before the Levitical priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the LORD, the stranger as well as the native. Half of them stood in front of Mount Gerizim and half of them in front of Mount Ebal, just as Moses the servant of the LORD had given command at first to bless the people of Israel.  Then afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessing and the curse, according to all that is written in the book of the law.  There was not a word of all that Moses had commanded which Joshua did not read before all the assembly of Israel with the women and the little ones and the strangers who were living among them.

(Joshua 8:30-35)

The question is, did Jesus do this? I believe He did during His time in Egypt (Matthew 2:13-15). By the time Jesus had returned to Israel and was twelve years old, He already knew the Law well enough to speak to the teachers about it and amaze them with His understanding and answers (Luke 2:41-47), yet the Holy Spirit did not descend upon Jesus until He was about thirty years of age (Luke 3:21-23).

I believe God the Father instructed Jesus to write the Law in the sands of Egypt. Being fully man and able to demonstrate the level of understanding He did to the teachers without the Holy Spirit shows how perfect God’s Law is and how devastating sin is to our revelations in the Word. Regardless of if Jesus ever wrote the Law during His lifetime before His crucifixion, we know that He ascended to the right hand of God (Mark 16:19), and has been in the Heavenly Court writing God’s Law on our hearts of stone. Most of which haven’t been, “officially trained,” and He has offered his Holy Spirit on us sending us out into the world as peace offerings from God.

For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing; to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life. And who is adequate for these things? (2 Corinthians 2:15-16)
