What is your daily bread?

36 (Now an omer is a tenth of an ephah.) (Exodus 16:36)

This comes at the end of the chapter where the Israelites first receive manna. It says,

32 Then Moses said, “This is what the LORD has commanded, ‘Let an omerful of it be kept throughout your generations, that they may see the bread that I fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you out of the land of Egypt.’” 33 Moses said to Aaron, “Take a jar and put an omerful of manna in it, and place it before the LORD to be kept throughout your generations.” (Exodus 16:32-33)

Jesus later tells us that He is the true bread from heaven. This leads us to Zechariah, where a scroll written on both sides, is able to fly and enters the house of the thief and the one who swears falsely by the LORD’s name to consume the entire house. This references and identifies the angel of death that passed over the houses with the blood as the ten commandments, the Word of God, Jesus. It then goes on to speak of the world’s bread.

Then the angel who was speaking with me went out and said to me, “Lift up now your eyes and see what this is going forth.” I said, “What is it?” And he said, “This is the ephah going forth.” Again he said, “This is their appearance in all the land (and behold, a lead cover was lifted up); and this is a woman sitting inside the ephah.” Then he said, “This is Wickedness!” And he threw her down into the middle of the ephah and cast the lead weight on its opening. Then I lifted up my eyes and looked, and there two women were coming out with the wind in their wings; and they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heavens. 10 I said to the angel who was speaking with me, “Where are they taking the ephah?” 11 Then he said to me, “To build a temple for her in the land of Shinar; and when it is prepared, she will be set there on her own pedestal.” (Zechariah 5:5-11)

Ten times the portion given to the world is the full ephah, Wickedness, which is placed in a ephah, or basket, and taken to a temple as well. Her temple is Shinar, Babylon; and it is set apart from God’s temple.

I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues; (Revelation 18:4)
