Why Christian order and head coverings?
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12)
God’s purpose is to teach His manifold wisdom through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 3:10)
And so, because of the angels, the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head. (1 Corinthians 11:10)
And
The women are to keep silent in the churches; for they are not permitted to speak, but are to subject themselves, just as the Law also says. (1 Corinthians 14:34)
But why? Hebrew says,
For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God. Now Moses was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken later; (Hebrews 3:4-5)
So concerning the house Moses built it says in Exodus 25 concerning the Ark of the Covenant
“The cherubim shall have their wings spread upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings and facing one another; the faces of the cherubim are to be turned toward the mercy seat. (Exodus 25:20)
God speaks through Ezekiel concerning an anointed cherub who covered who was in Eden and had access to the holy mountain of God who was removed from hi position because of his sin and was cast to the ground. (Ezekiel 28:13-17)
Remember the garden of Eden and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
After removing the cherub who sinned from the throne, Ezekiel 1 gives a picture of the throne room during a time of Israel’s captivity.
There are now 4 cherub instead of 2
The cherub have 4 wings instead of 2
They fly beneath the throne, not above it
And their extra pair of wings covers themselves, not God. (Ezekiel 1:5-11,26)
So, with this in mind, do you not know that we will judge angels? There are no longer male or female for those who are in Christ, but a man ought not to have his head covered, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man.
