The rainbow around the throne

and there was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald in appearance. (Revelation 4:3b)

I believe this is still God’s promise not to destroy the earth by water but with fire. His priests who kept His word, the wave offering, which creates the image of an arch or bow when performed, I believe is now green because plants are being used to heal the nations.

¹³ I set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth. ¹⁴ It shall come about, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow will be seen in the cloud, ¹⁵ and I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and never again shall the water become a flood to destroy all flesh. (Genesis 9:13-15)

⁷ But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. (2 Peter 3:7)

²⁹ “Is not My word like fire?” declares the LORD, “and like a hammer which shatters a rock? (Jeremiah 23:29)

¹⁶ For the LORD will execute judgment by fire And by His sword on all flesh, And those slain by the LORD will be many. (Isaiah 66:16)

⁷ For the lips of a priest should preserve knowledge, and men should seek instruction from his mouth; for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts. (Malachi 2:7)

¹⁹ I will set a sign among them and will send survivors from them to the nations: Tarshish, Put, Lud, Meshech, Tubal and Javan, to the distant coastlands that have neither heard My fame nor seen My glory. And they will declare My glory among the nations. ²⁰ Then they shall bring all your brethren from all the nations as a grain offering to the LORD, on horses, in chariots, in litters, on mules and on camels, to My holy mountain Jerusalem,” says the LORD, “just as the sons of Israel bring their grain offering in a clean vessel to the house of the LORD. ²¹ I will also take some of them for priests and for Levites,” says the LORD. (Isaiah 66:19-21)

²⁷ He then put all these on the hands of Aaron and on the hands of his sons and presented them as a wave offering before the LORD. (Leviticus 8:27) 

¹² By the river on its bank, on one side and on the other, will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither and their fruit will not fail. They will bear every month because their water flows from the sanctuary, and their fruit will be for food and their leaves for healing.” (Ezekiel 47:12)
