Silence
During the rebuke for the first recorded sin, the serpent is silent. From then until the death and resurrection of Jesus, Satan is the ruler of the world. Jesus is prophesied to be as a sheep before the shearers, silent. When He was being questioned before the High Priest, He made no response to the accusations. He is now set to oversee all things. Whatever side you are on, if you patiently endure rebuke, you will be rewarded.
