He will cover you with his feathers

One bad day I had left me awaiting a stern rebuke from the Father. The next day, I found the remains of a bird in the form of feathers and feather “chunks” leading me to understand the bird had passed away. As I was cleaning up the remains, the verse,

He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection. (Psalm 91:4 NLT)

And the cleanup was the rebuke. My sins are covered by the blood of Jesus, and that day He covered my bad day with “His feathers” and sheltered my family with His wings.

But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.  (Hebrews 12:8)

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. 30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows. (Matthew 10:29-31)
