What is love?

⁵ You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. (Deuteronomy 6:5)

How do we love God? By loving people. How do we love people? By keeping His commandments. How does keeping His commandments love people? Because without them you are left with your heart. And the heart is more deceitful than all else And is desperately sick;

²¹ And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should love his brother also. (1 John 4:21)

² By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments. ³ For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome. (1 John 5:2-3)

⁹ “The heart is more deceitful than all else
And is desperately sick;
Who can understand it? (Jeremiah 17:9)
