The devil knows Scripture

 ¹⁹ You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder. (James 2:19)

And,

⁵ Then the devil *took Him into the holy city and had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple, ⁶ and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down; for it is written,

‘He will command His angels concerning You’; and ‘On their hands they will bear You up,
So that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’” (Matthew 4:5-6)

However,

When a man’s ways are pleasing to the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him. (Proverbs 16:7)

So, if the “devil” is “oppressing you” with Scriptures you believe to be all “taken out of context”, maybe your ways are not right with the LORD. Because now that Jesus resurrected, Satan is a weapon for our use.

 ⁵ I have decided to deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. (1 Corinthians 5:5)
